Reiki Meditation
Reiki Meditation allows practitioners to heal themselves
as well as others by channeling the healing energy of Reiki to harmonize and balance the patient’s energy
field.
It was believed that when someone experiences this type of meditation, they encounter an
optimization in the area of homeostasis, which is the balance of the body. When one receives energy from
another person, the body will be able to heal itself. Reiki Meditation is a collaboration of many different
healing techniques used around the world.
The word “Reiki” is made of two Japanese words: “Rei”, which means “God’s wisdom” of the “Higher
power” and “Ki”, which means “life force energy”. Therefore, Reiki means, “spiritually guided life force
energy”.
Reiki Meditation is a simple and effective way of self-improvement and natural healing. It works
by connecting the spirit to one’s body and works well with other treatments or therapies. Reiki Meditation is
very easy to learn and is often taught by a Reiki master.
The Reiki experience is believed to heal and mind, body and soul. The trained Reiki master will
usually start a session with an introduction to the Reiki Meditation technique. He or she will use the power
of touch in order to transfer their energy to you. At this point, you will either be lying down or sitting
comfortable in a chair. The Reiki master will then place their hands above your head, using different types
of movements to create a steady stream of energy that you will receive. Reiki Meditation naturally balances
your body, which brings about spiritual, physical and psychological benefits.
There are five major principles in Reiki Meditation. Although some may find
the practice to be quite spiritual, it can be practiced by anyone of any religious affiliation. The principles
are viewed as guidelines for living and becoming a Reiki practitioner:
| 1. |
Just for today, I will not be angry |
| 2. |
Just for today, I will not worry |
| 3. |
Just for today, I will be grateful |
| 4. |
Just for today, I will do my work honestly |
| 5. |
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing |
As of other types of meditation techniques, there are many health benefits associated with Reiki
